Happy New Year! Already!! Doesn't seem so much time has already passed that we should be in 2012 already.
Ever heard of New Year Resolutions? I've never been one to have any, mainly for fear of breaking them. I mean why set yourself up for failure, right?
Someone on the yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/IndieRomanceInk/I I just joined calls them goals for the new year. I like that. Goals. Even my granddaughters have goals, whether or not they know it. They have a tutor that comes 2 to 4 times a month. She sets goals for so many months ahead, and when they reach those goals, more are set. Now, that's more like it. Goals.
So, lets set some goals for 2012. I'm following one of the romance authors on this yehoo group whose goal it is to write 1000 words daily on her book(s) 6 days a week. I thought that sounded reasonable. But I'm going to go for 5 days a week. There's always something coming up that takes me away from my writing, so that gives me an extra day to catch up. I won't work on Sunday...and here I am on Sunday, January 1, 2012, working.
That is my one goal for 2012. I may add to that as time goes on. It's not like a New Years Resolution, you can set goals for yourself any time.
I hope that 2012 is good to all of us. Keep your head up, that's where you find God.
